Legal Notices and Definitions
A publication is any work that appears in our house after editorial review and proofreading. This includes printed books, e-books, audiobooks, and limited special editions. Manuscripts that are still in the review process or have been rejected for legal reasons are not considered publications.
No. The clauses listed here refer exclusively to works distributed through the Spinning Top Press publishing house. Authors who self-publish and only use our printing or distribution services are subject to separate agreements, which are set out in the respective service contract.
The publisher checks all submitted manuscripts for plagiarism and legal violations. Should a copyright infringement still be asserted, we reserve the right to remove the affected work from the market and inform the authors about the legal steps. We only assume liability for unnoticed violations in the event of proven fault.
A title is considered available if it can be ordered through regular bookstores or our publisher's website within two to five working days. Out-of-print works are no longer reprinted but may be available as used copies or digital facsimiles. A new edition will only be produced if there is sufficient demand and after authorization by the rights holder.
For digital products such as e-books and audiobook downloads, a statutory right of withdrawal only applies if the download has not yet started. With the start of the download, the right of withdrawal expires in accordance with Section 356 (5) of the German Civil Code (BGB). The publisher clearly points out this restriction before each purchase.
